Our Core Values
At the core of everything we do at Litera Primary Zee School is one simple principle – What’s Right for the Child (WRFC). Through that mantra we filter all our decisions and actions. WRFC helps us keep the child at the centre of everything we do and ensures single-minded devotion to her growth and development.
Children are not just roll numbers; they are unique individuals: Each child has a unique brain network that shapes how she absorbs and responds to stimuli. One way of teaching does not work for every child. We need to teach the way children learn, not force them to learn the way we teach.
Every Child talented. Schools just need to figure out, where that talent lies.:Schooling is a time when children discover what she is good at. We should not make schooling an experience of finding out whether they are any good.
A school’s role is developing the whole individuals, are not just completing the syllabus:A School is not an assembly line of syllabus and exams. Schools help children make meaning of life and develop the ability to lead life effectively. Consequently, schools have to expand beyond academics to include life skills, values and habits.
Holistic development needs partnership between schools and parents:Schools need to enroll and educate parents so that children get a seamless learning environment between school and home.
Schools need an integrated approach centered on the child: Schools need to begin with a vision of the child they aim to graduate and then design everything around that vision. School-building design, pedagogy, teachers, curriculum content, activities and examinations – all need to be integrated to achieve this vision.
